EHC Postponed

Yacht Club Cannes/France has had to cancel the Star Eastern Hemisphere Championship and District 9 Championship. The EHC will be postponed with plans to reschedule probably to end of September 2020 and we will keep you updated. 

IF you have already paid the entry fee, we can offer a refund or hold until you can determine if you can attend the new rescheduled dates.  Please let the Star Class office know if you prefer to have a full refund at this time.

For those who registered but have not paid, notice will be posted on the new entry fee dates once the event is rescheduled.

Stat Class to Race in Cannes for Eastern Hemisphere Championship

AUGIE DIAZ AND CHRISTIAN NEHAMMER ARE THE 2019 STAR EASTERN HEMISPHERE CHAMPIONS

The Eastern Hemisphere Championship has just dropped the curtains on Attersee, Austria, after staging a wonderful show with different conditions every day, so that the sailors had to adjust again and again to the wind, weather and waves and could not lower their attention. Wednesday was the "last summer day"; Thursday is the day between the seasons and Friday is called the "first autumn day" here in Attersee: winds from the north, up to 17 knots, 30 km / h,  with  big waves and the water almost ink black, proved the saying right.
The final ranking was decided only on the last day. The fleet was extremely nervous for the first start and as a result there were two general recalls before the committee hoisted the Black Flag that put the fleet in order. Third time was the charm and the last day was on.

Two races were held today, the last very tough day of the Star Eastern Hemisphere Championship 2018.  The winds were very shifty and the PRO had a very difficutl time, but luckily a fifth race was finished and teams could discard their worst score and ensured a regular championship.
